Overselling | Pipe17 Glossary
Overselling
Overselling is accepting orders for more units than you can actually fulfill, usually because a channel's inventory count lags reality after a sale, a sync fails quietly, or two channels sell against the same stock. The immediate costs are cancellations and refunds; on marketplaces, every cancellation also counts against the account health that keeps you selling there. Prevention starts with real-time inventory visibility.
Keep Every Count True
Pipe17 syncs inventory in real time, so a sale on one channel updates the counts on all of them.
